9:30am - 11:30am (2 hours)	Basic Nib Care & Tuning Workshop (Scriptus 2026) — Learn Basic Nib Work Yourself Beginners welcome! Do you want to learn how to diagnose and smooth problem nibs? Learn how to fix simple issues and decide when to seek professional help. Join Nibworker Mr. Sunny Koh for hands-on instruction covering pen maintenance, nib diagnostics, simple repairs, and smoothing techniques. What You Will Learn: How a fountain pen and nib work How to use a loupe for diagnosing problems Understanding ideal nib geometry Testing ink flow using traditional techniques Tine alignment and flow adjustment Nib smoothing using the Binderize Method Materials Provided: Every student receives a complete toolkit and practice supplies, including a jeweler's loupe (30X, 21mm real glass), a sample vial of ink, micromesh and lapping film sheets, two pilot-style steel nibs (one intentionally misaligned for practice), and a WingSung 3001 demo pen. 12:00pm - 1:00pm (1 hour)	An Inside Look at Kyuseido Join us for an inside look at Kyuseido, a modern fountain pen brand bringing together innovative design, modern engineering, and traditional artistry. This seminar will explore the history and ideas behind the brand, the mechanics and design of Kyuseido pens, the evolution of its product line, and the development of its growing range of urushi products. Participants will also have the opportunity to handle and try a selection of Kyuseido pens, explore different nib grinds, and be introduced to the world of urushi. The seminar will conclude with a fun quiz and giveaways. Cost: No fee to register Register Here
1:30pm - 3:30pm (2 hours)	2 Hour Calligraphy Workshop at Scriptus Pen Show Due to popular demand, Diane has returned to teach a 2 hr class to experience the timeless beauty of calligraphy at the Scriptus Pen Show! Join Diane Foisy, professional calligrapher with over 40 years of experience, for an Introduction to Chancery. Learn the graceful rhythm and form of this classic script in an inspiring two-hour session.
